Underwear is a tricky thing, isn’t it?
Underwear is the foundation of any outfit, if the underwear isn’t right, the outerwear may not look as good as it should. It should accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative, smooth out lumps and bumps and make you feel comfortable.
I’m not sure about underwear. I don’t have breasts (apart from my moobs) so I don’t need to wear a bra. I have a penis so I have to work out what to do with that in leggings or tight skirts. I’m not sure I want fake boobs, but I don’t want a bulge.
Having said that, I see the value of underwear, especially shapewear, to try and mould this chunky figure into something more hourglass. I have a body stocking which I love, but it does have padded cups and I have to admit my “boobs” do look good under a tight dress in it!

What I do swear by is my high-waisted shape control briefs (from Pretty Little Thing). They hold me in around my tummy and also do a great job of holding in a tucked (to the best of my ability) winkie. Teamed with tights and a bodysuit they really do a great job of smoothing me down and holding back the bulge! I chose to wear them on both my outings this week – they gave me confidence and a great feeling of knowing they were holding me in and up!

I do love lingerie, I love the intricacies of suspenders and stockings, of tight straps and smooth elastic fabrics. I’m not keen on bras by themselves, I’ve got nothing to fill the cups with and they can be uncomfortable. I’m tempted to try soft cupped bralettes one day, to see how they affect my shape.
I think I might have to give those shape control briefs a go myself!
