Well, today is the day that I first gave myself my new name, anyway. On May 2nd, 2019, for some reason, I decided that I needed a name for the feminine side of me, so I went with Catie. Originally I gave myself the surname of Pepper, but then I found out there’s an adult actress by the name of Catie Peppers, so I’ve kind of shied away from that to an extent…
I suppose more than just deciding I needed a name, it was the first time I fully acknowledged the feminine side of me, the side that wasn’t just a cross-dressing man, but something more.
And Catie might have just stayed in the background, only to come out in private and on my days off, if the pandemic hadn’t restricted my free time so much. The lid was put on the pressure-cooker and steam built up, until I came out just under a year ago…
Anyway, 3 years ago I’d bought myself a pair of thigh-high boots (as you do) and was starting the journey to put myself out there, not really thinking where I was headed or what I was doing. I just know I started to embrace the feminine side of myself without shame or embarrassment. I started off posting pictures of myself (without showing my face) and as I grew in confidence became more and more comfortable with who I am.
